I never did like Twitter. One of my quirkiest professors in college, Professor Zelin had us join Twitter and LinkedIn for a social networking homework assignment. He guaranteed us that social networking is in the future of all businesses and it would be in our best interest to jump on the bandwagon now. I followed his advice and I joined Twitter and LinkedIn and I can say only one thing about that assignment . . . I hated them both! I think I "tweeted" three times total over a whole semester. I followed both Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore but I found it to be more creepy than exciting. I believe that Twitter allows the stalkers to closely watch their prey. Not exactly my thing!
So there's my small rant for the day and my goal is to try to have one in every blog because isn't that what blogs are for . . . to tell the world my views and what I think.
I never imagined I would be back living in Rochester. I never planned on returning to the place where my internship had gone so poorly. But yet here I am, back sitting a desk all day and back in Rochester. Now to be fair, I'm enjoying my career so far much better than my previous internship. I am currently a financial analyst. What do I do??? Well I create forecasts and make sure that we hit those forecasts and when we don't, I tell my mangers why and then the process repeats itself. I feel very fortunate to have a position with a successful company as I have met many others in the past few months who haven't been as lucky as I have.
Since this is my first blog, I think I'm going to leave it at that. I have many things going on in my life but I don't want to give away all the good stuff in one post! Stay tuned til next time!
